Georgia Audubon is partnering with Birdability to host virtual field trips highlighting accessible trails, birders who experience accessibility challenges, and birds from around the country!
On Saturday, January 9th at 10am Eastern Time, we will be exploring trails with the following guests:
Jerry Berrier, Mass Audubon’s All Persons Trails consultant who is totally blind and birds by ear: Malden, Massachusetts
Alexander deBarros, board member of San Fernando Valley Audubon who has Type 1 diabetes and autism: Los Angles, California
Freya McGregor, Birdability Coordinator and Occupational Therapist with a 'dodgy' knee: Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge, Alabama
Corina Newsome, community engagement manager for Georgia Audubon, host: Atlanta, Georgia
Tune in via Georgia Audubon’s Facebook page to watch live, or register for the Zoom webinar here.
You can also watch the recorded event on the Georgia Audubon’s Facebook page or on the Birdability YouTube channel afterwards.
These events will occur monthly, so stay tuned to learn about more accessible trails around the country with more birders who experience accessibility challenges!
Georgia Audubon is dedicated to building places where birds and people thrive.
